A loan of $575 helped car maintenance for taxi business.

Adolfo's story

Don Adolfo is married and the head of a family of four children. He used to own a vehicle with which he hauled goods, a vehicle that he bought with savings. That business didn't pay, though, so he decided to sell the vehicle and buy a car so that he could start a taxi business. He's worked at the business for some years and his wife helps because she operates a business making and selling nacatamales (a local dish), food that she prepares with help from their children (who are still in school). Working as a taxi driver is often tough but Don Adolfo works at it day in and day out to earn the money he needs. He will use this loan for car maintenance, a requirement of the utmost importance because he needs the vehicle to operate his business. He will repair the taxi's electrical system so that he can continue to provide a good service.
