Mallana Group's story

Anthony F., who is holding the sign, is the leader of a group of five borrowers called Mallana. He is 32 years old, married and has two children who are 2 and 5 years old. He was only able to attend school through 4th grade due to lack of support. For 3 years, he has been selling light bulbs in West Point, downtown Monrovia, Liberia. He describes himself as very reliable.

Anthony plans to use his 18,000 Liberian dollar (LRD) portion of this 90,000 LRD group loan to buy more light bulbs. His dream is to expand his business, build a house and continue to educate his children so that they can have a better future.
