A loan of $1,075 helped to buy vehicle replacement parts.

Faustina's story

Faustina, 50, is a member of Manantial (The Spring) communal bank. She has four children. The oldest is 34, the second is 30, and the two youngest are 17 and 14. The youngest is still in secondary school. Since 2002, Faustina has sold vehicle replacement parts; she set up the business in her own home. Her husband is a mechanic and his need for parts led to his suggestion that she set up the business. It’s difficult for Faustina to have enough time to do all her work because she has many customers and she has to send for the needed parts to various stores throughout Lima. Faustina enjoys the training sessions she gets at her communal bank because she learned how to provide better customer service and she feels she’s a better person thanks to the family training sessions. Faustina will use the requested funds to buy replacement parts, specifically gear shafts. Faustina’s dream is to have her store stocked with everything necessary and that her children become professionals.
