A loan helped to buy farm inputs, which she plans to use in expanding farm production.

Jackline's story

Jackline is a 29-year old mother of three children. She is living in Nakuru, a town with surroundings that have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. She has been a mixed dairy and crop farmer for the past ten years.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya through financing therefore guaranteeing their survival.

Jackline is seeking this loan to buy farm inputs, which she plans to use in expanding her farm production that has been significantly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. A loan to her will be a proper way of uplifting her during this period when the world is preparing to celebrate International Women’s Day.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
