Sophy's Group's story

This group loan consists of four members who live in Kandoeng Thum village in Takeo province. Mrs. Sophy M. is 44 years old and is the leader of the group loan, having been selected by its members. Each of the members will use their individual portions to support different business purposes.

Mrs. Sophy M. and her husband, Mr. Sokchea Hang, are recycling middlemen. In order to increase income to improve the family living, Mrs. Sophy M. decided to ask for a loan in order to buy piglets for breeding.

This couple has six children: two are security guards, one is a waiter in a restaurant, and the younger three are students in the local school as well as working in their parents' businesses.
