The Lord’S People Group's story

Helen F., who is holding the sign, is the leader of a group of five borrowers called The Lord’s People. She is 38 years old, single and has two children aged four and six who attend school. She was only able to attend school through the ninth grade due to lack of financial support.

For two years, Helen has been selling rice, beans and flour in ELWA Market outside Monrovia, Liberia. She plans to use her 16,000 Liberian Dollar portion of this 56,000 Liberian Dollar group loan to buy more bags of rice, beans and flour to sell.

She describes herself as a friendly person. Her dream is to improve her business and build a shop.
