A loan helped to prepare her family lands for planting for the upcoming season so she will be able to keep providing for her family.

Erlinda's story

Erlinda is a 38-year-old woman who lives in a small village in south Albania. She is married, with two children. Her son is 18 years old and is finishing high school this year; her daughter is 15 years old. Erlinda is a very devoted mother and a diligent woman.

Erlinda has been running a farm for 20 years now; lately she has been growing mainly medicinal plants.

She would like to take a loan from Kiva to prepare her family lands for planting for the upcoming season so she will be able to keep providing for her family. With this loan, she will be able to keep running her family farm after the difficulties they had due to the Covid situation. "This has been a very difficult period for us, as the limitations in transport made it quite impossible to sell the harvest!", said Erlinda.

Erlinda appreciates the support of Kiva lenders, and is optimistic about the future of her farming and medicinal plants business.
