Mayra Elizabeth's story

Mayra A. is a member of the Narancay Bajo Communal Bank. She lives in the city of Cuenca. This city is known for its architecture, its churches, the four rives that flow through it, its cuisine, and its very friendly people.

Our member devotes herself to her store, which she has had for two years. She works in it from seven a.m. until nine a.m. She has also had a beauty parlor for three years. She works there from Monday through Saturday. She learned this business from several courses that she took.

Our member is 19 years old. She is a single mother, and she has a one year old child. Her parents are merchants. She lives in their house, which is their own.

She is in her second cycle of loans with the Espoir foundation. She will use the new loan to buy supplies for her store.

Her dream is to have a larger beauty parlor.
