Larisa's story

Larisa is a 50-year-old woman and lives in the village of Puhaceni, in the Anenii Noi region of Moldova. She lives alone in her own house. Her daughter is married and lives separately. Larisa works as an employee for a local farmer.

She has an area of 0.14 ha near the house where she lives. She wants to plant potatoes and cabbage in this garden. Larisa wants to increase her income and for this reason, she is ready to work hard. Larisa will sell part of the obtained harvest at the market and will use the rest for her own consumption. She will do all this work in her free time.

Not having enough money, Larisa decided to apply for a Kiva loan to buy potatoes and cabbage seeds, and fertilizers. As a result, she will start a new activity which will ensure a source of income and food.
