Philomène's story

Philomène Y. was born June 30, 1972 and is married to Ludovic Metonou. The couple has two children who are both in school. Nearly fifteen years ago, Philomène moved to the neighborhood of Wlacodji in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, where she lives with her children and her husband. Together, the couple supports their various household needs. For almost twelve years, Philomène has been in business selling seafood (fish and shrimp) in Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. Philomène also sells food (rice, corn pastries in a sauce of fish and shrimp). Philomène buys her seafood at the fish port in Cotonou. Philomène is a long-time customer of ALIDé, who has always successfully paid back her loans. With an eye to raising her level of business and growing her customer base even more, Philomène is requesting an additional loan to increase her stocks of her products.
