A loan helped to expand her business.

Zelia's story

Zelia is a 23-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents and siblings in the Garu Tempane district of Ghana. She retails millet and maize.

Zelia is requesting a Kiva loan to expand her business. She plans to reinvest the profit she earns into her business to help it grow.

Zelia is committed to repaying the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering as a Camfed Business Mentor, providing less experienced Camfed Association members with onsite training and mentoring to help them strengthen their businesses.

This loan is special because:

It helps borrowers withstand negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
