A loan helped to purchase sugar, bread, milk, and drinks for selling.

Sayjai's story

Sayjai lives with her husband and children in a Kuy community, one of the ethnic groups in Surin province. Generally, her family makes a living by growing rice, and selling food, drinks, and beverages.

In 2018, she secured a Kiva loan to invest in the food cooking business, and it has been running well so far. However, she desires to develop another business: selling toast, drinks and beverages. Therefore, she has applied once again for a Kiva loan to purchase sugar, bread, milk, and drinks for selling in her small shop.

The loan will support her to develop another job, and be able to generate more income for spending on her family.

This loan is special because:

It helps women living in rural areas improve financial literacy and invest in their businesses.
