Savan's story

Savan is 25 years old, married and the mother of a child. She is planting and selling mushrooms. Her husband is a security guard. She has been running this business for three years.

Savan has applied for a 2,500,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy mushroom spawn and yeast to support her farming business. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business, as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home and send her child to school.

Her main challenges are more competition and insufficient capital.
