A loan helped a member to buy merchandise for resale in order to take care of his family.

Lafia Group's story

Mamadou is a retailer in a rural area in Mali. He is 41 years old, married, and the father of three children, two girls and one boy who attends school. His wife is responsible for the housework.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Mamadou is standing in for the other group members. He is uneducated and has been a retailer for approximately 10 years. Mamadou runs his business from the family courtyard to be able to watch his shop against people with malicious intentions in the area.

To make his dream come true, he has sought assistance from RMCR to take out loans to develop his business and meet his customers' needs.

He will use the profits to invest in his business and cover expenses for his family.
