A loan helped to buy seeds to grow organic apricots and apples.

Zhamila's story

Zhamila is 55 years old, she is married and has two children. She has a secondary education and is hardworking, ambitious and entrepreneurial by nature. She is well-versed in farming technology and knows how to invest wisely.

She has been engaged in animal husbandry since 2008 - this is the main source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work and her responsible attitude to managing her business, she was able to expand her farm to count 19 sheep and a 2-ha plot of irrigated land where she grows apples and apricots.

To further develop her farm, she applied for a loan of 200,000 soms (KGS) from the Bank of Bai Tushum to purchase organic apple and apricot seeds to plant new trees and give more life to the old ones. She plans to invest the money from the loan to further expand the farm.
