Virgen's story

Virgen is married but currently separated from her husband. She has 6 children. She has been a member of the Los Tamarindos Communal Bank for 32 cycles, in lovely Portoviejo. Her business is preparing meals. She sells breakfasts and lunches in the dining room of her home, which she has set up with tables and chairs so that her customers can serve themselves. She has financed her business with loans from the Foundation. Her husband is a professional driver, and she has run her business. She has 20 standing customers who come to her location every day. She herself prepares dishes typical of the region, and every morning visits Portoviejo’s central market to purchase the food she needs. Her business has gone well, and at times she has help from one of her daughters. She will use this next loan to buy commodities needed to prepare her food, and to make some repairs in the site where she has her business.
