Maria Cristina's story

Sra. María Cristina is a native of the city of Ybycuí, but she currently lives in the neighborhood of Cñía Zanjita de Acahay. She is a single mother of a 16 year old daughter who is continuing her studies in the city of Ybycuí.

At an early age, Sra. Cristina traveled to the capital in search of a better life. She found a job and ended up staying there. After all that, she saved enough money so that she could return to her hometown and open a food pantry. Her business experienced excellent results, but she faced one problem – she did not have enough merchandise to completely meet the demand of her customers.

In order to expand her business and increase her profits, Cristina came to the offices of Fundación Paraguaya to request a loan so that she could buy merchandise such as noodles, rice, oil, meat, baked goods, sausages, and dairy products. She is thankful for the loan that has been provided because she will be able to add new products to her inventory and satisfy everyone who comes to her business to shop.
