A loan helped to buy oil, eggs, sugar, pasta, vegetables, fruit, rice, dry goods, and groceries.

Jorge Luis's story

Jorge Luis, age 40, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the city of Cartagena with his spouse.

He has two years' experience selling groceries and dry goods. He began his business in 2018, opening a small shop in his house, with just one shelf and the desire to work for his family. He reinvested all the profits in his business, until he was able to move from his house to a more productive location. He describes himself as an enterprising person who fights for what he wants. He puts all his effort into getting his family ahead.

Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, his business declined due to biosecurity issues and his income dropped drastically. For that reason, he requests his first Kiva loan from the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to invest in the purchase of oil, eggs, sugar, pasta, vegetables, fruit, rice, groceries, and dry goods. Please support his loan for his business.
