Manuela es casada, curso el sexto grado D. primaria, tiene dos hijas, ella y su esposo se dedican a la Tejeduría, (Elaboración del Cortes Típicos), tiene 5 años con este negocio. Viendo la necesidad D. capital para poder ampliar su negocio, conjuntamente con otras vecinas se organizan para poder formar un grupo el cual se denomina NUEVOS HORIZONTES. Este Banco Comunal cuenta con doce socias, estas señoras se dedican a la tejeduría, algunas otras tienen tiendas D. consumo diario. El préstamo ellas lo utilizarán para compra D. materia prima y así podrán incrementar el volumen D. las ventas que realizan. Dicho grupo resiD. en el Cantón Xecanchavox, San Cristóbal, Totonicapán, esperan obtener mejores ganancias y contribuir al desarrollo D. se fanilia y D. Guatemala.

About Asociación ASDIR

ASDIR (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral Rural - Association for the Development of Rural Communities) is a community-based organization that works to promote development in the villages and communities where it serves. It was founded in 1999 in the village of Nimasac, Totonicapán Department, by a handful of local men and women to support community projects and group loans. Today ASDIR has 5 offices across 3 departments (Totonicapán, Sololá and Suchitepéquez) serving more than 6,000 clients, most of them in rural communities.
