A loan of $550 helped to buy pea and potato seeds.

Sabino's story

Sabina is 39 years old and the father of a simple and hardworking family. He lives in his own house with his wife, Veronica who is 41, and his two dear children, for whom he wants to provide a better life. With the support of his wife, Sabino’s farms have become very fertile and productive. And this is because everyday they work together on their land, making their crops better each time. During the harvest season, they prepare to bring their products to the wholesale market in the town of Tarma, where they usually get paid well. He has been doing this for 21 years and what he likes best about his job is growing his peas and potatoes. He believes that the hardest part is having to transport their crops to the place where they are sold. Over time, he hopes to put a small selling post at the market for his wife, that way they can increase profits by selling their own production. This is his ninth MFP loan. He has been very punctual in his previous loans and expects to be again. In his community group he is a very responsible partner and is always aware of the agreements they have in their group. With the 1500 soles he is requesting, he will buy pea and potato seeds since these are the the products that are selling.
