Peninah's story

Operating a farm has been a tremendous business venture for K. Peninah from Kafunga, Ibanda.

Having had a big family of six children and one dependent with a careless husband who does no productive work, Peninah worked tooth and nail to start up the sale of bananas which are commonly used to prepare a local dish by customers here in Uganda. She is so fond of her business and she is able to earn 1,500,000 Ugandan shillings as profits monthly.

This loan is to help Peninah do the mulching, buy stake poles for her plantation and pesticides. Further more, the expansion of her banana plantation project into a large-scale operation is her main motive for this loan. This will help her improve her production and sales revenue to enable her take care of her family.
