A loan helped a member to buy breed ducks.

Noong Luong 38 Group's story

Mrs. Panh is a woman who is always in the dark, working hard. She requested a loan to buy breed ducks and feed for them.

Mrs. Panh, 56 years old, and her grandchild live together in a small house in a remote village of Vietnam, where the mountainous areas are poor, and agriculture is the main source of income.

Panh does not have a main job, so she is in financial difficulty, although she has worked very hard at improving her income from growing rice and raising geese and chickens.

Every month, her daughter sends her an amount of 2.5M VND to cover living expenses, but that small amount is not enough to cover the costs of her and her grandchild.

Her difficulty is lack of resources, so she has gone to the Anh Chi Em Program for eight rounds of borrowing so far. Panh used the money she borrowed from the Anh Chi Em program to buy breed ducks and feed for them. With thirty years of experience in chicken and duck farming, she is confident that she will raise them quickly.

With interest earned from the sale of thousands to cover the living expenses of her family, now her life has been much improved. She wants to have capital to invest in raising chickens and ducks to help her family escape poverty.
