Exode Plus Group's story

Exode Plus is a community bank made up of 20 members whose chairwoman is Mireille. These members are united in the same goal: to grow their businesses through loans received from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC.

Mireille runs a restaurant to the north of the city of Kinshasa. She began her business in 2002 with startup capital of $20. After hard work and good management, she succeeded in making the restaurant thrive thanks to her accumulated profits. The business now gives her a profit of $40 per day. She intends to expand it with the next loan by adding soft drinks. Mireille is 36 years old, married and the mother of four children whose ages range from 10 to 20 years old. All of them attend school.
