A loan helped a member with her commerce and agriculture business.

Ngueyenne Sokhna Group's story

This group has existed for over eight years. It is composed of courageous women who work in agriculture seasonally. At the end of the season they sell a variety of items. For the most part the group members live in the same village, although some women live in the surrounding area. They work in solidarity.

The woman pictured above is named Sokhna. She is married and the mother of six children. She works in agriculture, but at the same time has a small business selling vegetables and other ingredients.

The income from Sokhna's work allows her to care for her children and address possible health concerns.
