A loan of $575 helped purchasing a photocopier for the stationery store.

Alexis's story

Alexis S. is 31 years old; he was born in Kamonyi, formerlyin the Gitarama prefecture and now in the North province of Rwanda, but currently he lives in Kigali. He recently got married and has no children yet, but his wife is pregnant. He is an evangelist of the ADEPR (an association of Pentecostal churches) in Kucukiro Shell. He has six years of primary school studies and four years of theology studies.

His work for the church assures him a salary, thanks to which he has been able to grow his savings little by little, making it possible for him to get married. Although his salary is small, he was able to have a house built to live in. He is taking out a loan from ACB in order to purchase supplies for his own public business center, namely a photocopier. In the past, he had four loans. With his savings, he would like to open a stationery store. He is also hoping that, once his income increases, his wife will be able to continue her studies as she did not go beyond the fourth year of study.
