A loan helped to buy free-range chickens, rice, bananas and more supplies to prepare her delicious dishes.

María Cecivel's story

María Cecivel and her family y live in Rocafuerte, which is known near and far for its traditional handmade confections that are made with recipes passed down generation to generation.

María Cecivel has a small business preparing and selling classic dishes like soups and chicken stew. She sells on Saturdays and Sundays from home where a river serves as an attraction to locals and tourists. On other days she sells from home and makes deliveries.

This loan is to buy free-range chickens, rice, plantains and other supplies to make her delicious dishes. Her dream is for her family not to get sick like she did, as it was a very hard time, but now she is recovering and her business is still growing.
