Abelia Concepción's story

Much of the fruit is seasoned with lemon, chile, and salt. Her stall is on the main street. Abelia’s customers might be neighbours, passers-by, children, or students from the nearby school.

She is asking for money to invest in her business: she plans to buy more fruit. She also wants to buy a small piece of land in Izalco in the department of Sonsonate where she was born. Her wish is to build a house of her own there and proviD. a good home for her three children, a place where they can feel safe and self-confident.
