Nancy's story

Nancy, 26, lives with her partner with whom she has two daughters, Noemí, 7, and Jimena, 2. Together they live in the town of Quimbiri, situated in the beautiful rainforest of Peru, where they rent their house. Nancy has a cafe bar that is aimed at customers over 18 years old. Her business is giving her good economic returns. The key factor of its success lies in the good service and attention that Nancy provides her customers, offering traditional drinks and tropical drinks, in order to satisfy her clientele. Her spouse helps with the business. In addition she relies on the service of two women who help her attend to customers. Her business hours are from 10:00 AM until 3:00 AM and her store location is right in her town. With the savings earned over four years, Nancy was able to buy a plot of land with the intention of owning her own home. Her future plans are to open a store where she will offer typical regional food in order to diversify her clientele. This is her third loan with Microfinanzas Prisma, which she commits to repay timely. She has confidence that she will go far with her community group, since it offers many benefits. With the loan she requests, she will set up her bar, buying tables, chairs, and regional crafts to decorate the walls, with the intention of entertaining new customers.
