A loan of $600 helped purchase construction material (concrete, stone, sand, iron and others).

Gabriel Moises's story

Gabriel Moisés M. was born in the District of Homoine, Province of Inhambane, southern Mozambique, a married father of two children of 2 and 3 years old, who are not attending school, yet. He finished middle school but did not continue due to lack of financial resources. He lives in a rented house with his family and supports a niece who lives with him and his parents sending them money for household expenses.
He left Inhambane to live in Maputo in order to continue with his education, but he got a job in the District Services of Education and Technology in Boane. He’s worked there for over four years and has no employees. He earns 5,586.00mt a month, which he uses for household expenses, and he even saves some money in his bank account.
He never requested for any loans in other banks. He came to Hluvuku through friends who are also clients of this institution. This is his first loan for 20.000.00mt, which he will use to purchase construction material (concrete, stone, sand, iron and others) to apply in the construction of his home.
He is committed to repay this loan in time in order to access to others. In the future he plans to request for additional loans to continue with the construction of his home and to leave the house rental.
