A loan of $375 helped purchase of livestock feed.

Manuel Esteban's story

Manuel, 66, is the head of his family, living with his wife and their unmarried son in Santa Rosa de Curvan, a rural agricultural zone in the Tambogrande district, Piura province and region, three hours from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the Lambayeque region. He has worked for many years in agricultural work. He has planted his land with fruit trees, especially mango and lemon. He sells the fruit seasonally to various factories that process them for export to various countries. In addition, he raises and sells sheep, raising them in corrals near his home and selling them to agents who frequently come as well as to his neighbors. These are his only income-producing activities, which he struggles daily to maintain. Manuel wants to improve the feed of his sheep to improve their development and gain increased income from their sale. For this reason he has requested his first loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of $375. Manuel is a responsible father devoted to his family, known, respected and trusted by his neighbors in the area where he lives.
