Finagnon's story

Born in 1977 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, Finagnon D. has lived in the Kpondehou quarter of Cotonou for twenty years. Finagnon is not married and does not yet have any children. Finagnon lives alone and is solely responsible for her living expenses. Finagnon did not go to school. For nearly seventeen years Finagnon has sold diverse products (canned tomatoes, sardines, milk, pasta, couscous, rice, soap, toilet paper, cosmetics, etc...) from her home. This business earns her a profit, helping her to take care of herself and improve her quality of life. Finagnon buys her products in Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. Finagnon is a past client of Alidé, having obtained four previous loans which were all repaid. Facing the increasing requests of her clientele, Finagnon wants to increase her business and respond better to the demand. So, Finagnon is requesting a fifth loan from Alidé in order to increase her stock.
