A loan of $600 helped to buy products (sacks of tobacco).

Fauza Judas's story

Fauza Judas S. was born in the city of Maputo, Maputo Province, in southern Mozambique. She is married and has 6 children, who are between 11 and 26 years old. All of them go to school. Fauza only completed elementary school; she did not continue due to a lack of financial resources. She lives in her own house with her family and supports 3 nieces and nephews who live with her.

She left Maputo for Boane when she became widowed after the death of her first husband. She has had her own business selling bundles of tobacco for more than 25 years. She does not have any employees and earns about 12,000 MZN each month, which she uses to pay for expenses. She is even able to save some in her bank account.

Fauza never has had loans with other banks. She found out about Hluvuku through friends who are also clients of this institution. This is her 3rd loan, which has a value of 20,000 MZN. She plans to use it to buy products (sacks of tobacco) to increase her stock. The previous loans were for 12,000 MZN and 15,000 MZN, both for the same purpose.

She promises to pay back the loan on time so that she will be able to have access to others. In the future, she intends to request more loans to help improve her business.
