A loan of $475 helped purchase travel bags, suitcases and trolleys.

Christelle's story

This female merchant is 29 years old, single and has 3 children, from 10 to 8 years of age.
Having abandoned school at a very young age due to lack of support, she started selling bags in 2000 with 50,000 francs in capital. Her daily revenue varies from circa 20,000 francs to 30,000 francs.
If she is granted a loan, she intends to bolster her activity by purchasing batches of travel bags, suitcases and trolleys. These products are popular during vacation, as people travel a lot.
To grow her business, she takes advantage of the vacation season to sell more. She selects bags of lasting quality, i.e. in leather, to interest her clients.
Despite the difficulties, she holds on in order to run her business well, as it helps her take care of her children and pays for their schooling. She is saving money to open a store in the long run. She is very enthusiastic and has good relationships with those around her.
