Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Husna's Group's story

Husna has lived with her family in Borewala, a city of shrines, for the past twenty years. Her husband is a goldsmith and runs a shop in the market where he sells gold jewelry. Husna helps her family financially by doing domestic sewing. She receives orders from her neighborhood clients and generates money by fulfilling them.

Husna has four children: two sons and two daughters. Three of them are getting their education while the oldest son is also a goldsmith. Husna is a very kind and supportive woman by nature. She enjoys her sewing business and the income from it encourages her to earn more for her family. She has applied for a loan from Asasah to purchase an electric sewing machine for her business. This will help her to sew more clothes in time.

In this group: Husna , Mukhtayaran, Zahida, Sugran, Gulzaran, Shmaim Akhtar
