A loan helped to purchase a freezer, frozen goods, expand her canteen, and purchase an e-ticketing machine.

Anaseini's story

Anaseini currently runs a canteen to help with their family expenses. The income she earns helps pay for the utility bills, and she banks the rest for the future.

Today she requests a loan so that she can expand her canteen by purchasing a freezer for the frozen goods. She also wishes to purchase in bulk chicken, sausages, chicken feet, chicken livers, and sliced fish.

In addition to this, she also wishes to expand her shop to include shelves and an e-ticketing machine that will allow her to transfer cash into peoples' bus cards. As of 2017, the Fijian government has enforced the use of only bus cards to travel by buses, and prohibited the use of cash.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
