Rani's Group's story

Rani has applied for loan from Asasah to repair her son’s rickshaw. She lives with her family in Borewala, a city of shrines in Pakistan, where her son is a rickshaw driver. He has been in this work for the last six years. He learnt this driving skill from his father. He got his education till 8th standard and couldn’t study further because his father had no financial resources besides his meager income. Rani started making artificial flowers a few years ago to support her family financially. She sells her flowers to gift shops and in the community as well and generates income for the family. She is very good at her art and gets regular orders. Rani will use the loan amount for repairing her son’s rickshaw. A newly maintained rickshaw will run more smoothly and help her son to work for longer hours thus making him more money.
