A loan of $4,750 helps a member to buy livestock for resale to support his family.

Heremakonon Group's story

Moussa is a sheep farmer in a rural commune in Mali. He is 47 years old, uneducated, married, and the father of 6 children, ages 4 to 16, of whom 5 are in school.

Due to lack of working capital, Moussa has sought assistance from RMCR, a micro-finance institution, so that he can take care of his children's schooling, health, and hygiene. His wife is a housekeeper.

He expects to realize a profit of FCFA 50,000 from his sales. With financial assistance from this institution, Moussa will buy cattle at the weekly fairs to raise them on his farm and make a profit when they are sold.

Moussa wants to become a major farmer in his commune in the days to come so that he can independently take care of his family.
