A loan of $900 helped to purchase produce for her vegetable stall.

Marizela's story

Marizela is 32 years old. She lives in her own house, together with her husband and three children. She sells vegetables in one of the markets in the area where she lives. She starts work early in the morning and finishes at 4 in the afternoon. The time she takes off during the day is just enough to have some lunch. Peak sales occur at about 11 in the morning, which is when all the housewives visit her stall to buy the food they need for preparing the mid-day meal. To satisfy demand, she always seeks to ensure she has the freshest produce. In the future, she would like to improve her stall. She also hopes to renovate the wooden structures of her stall, to make it look more attractive to customers. This is the tenth loan she has secured from MFP, and she promises she will make all her payments on time. Marizela is planning to spend the money on purchasing a large quantity of vegetables, so as to increase sales and secure greater profits.
