Adama's story

Adama BA is a 31-year old woman, married and the mother of two dependent children. She has been a member of the Banc Villageois of Bakdioto since December 12, 2006, and obtained loans nine times since joining. After the Caurie Microfinance institution started operating in her village, she launched an enterprise selling tea, sugar, cigarettes, matches etc. After four years, she was able to have a store built, where she sells different products and foodstuffs. The income generated through the store allows her to help her husband take care of the family expenses, such as food and education of their children. She would also like to bolster the business capital of the store she has been running since joining Banc Villageois. She would like to increase her income in order to be able to provide for her children’s education.
