Diaye Sounkar's story

Diaye Sounkar B. is a 62-year old woman; she is a widow and mother to seven children. She has been a member of the Banc Villageois in BAKIDIOTO since 12th June 2005. She has a small business, and with the arrival of CAURIE-MF in her village, she began to sell tea, sugar, cigarettes, matches etc. After six years, she built premises from which she sells various products and foodstuffs. The profits she makes allow her to cover her family's expenses (food and her children's schooling).

With this loan she wants to reinforce the capital of the shop she has been managing since she became a member of the program. She would like to make more money to be able to provide for her children's schooling.
