Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $3,750 helped a member buy sodium hydroxide, essences for soaps, fats, colorants, and other ingredients.

Kuña Mbareté Group's story

The Kuña Mbarete Communal Bank was formed in October of 2009. It was formed in the city of Encarnación. Each member works in a different activity.

They work in a unified way. They keep in mind the importance of working as a team to get ahead and facing the day to day difficulties.

Celia is one of the members. She sells cleaning products like detergents for cutlery, soap for washing clothes, and bleach. All of these products are made by her. She buys all of the ingredients to make her products, and she sells them for low prices to other members of the communal bank and to various neighbors in the area.

She is requesting the loan to buy sodium hydroxide, essences for soaps, fats, colorants, and other ingredients.

In this group: Celia, Hilda , Sofia, Olinda, Joaquina, Alba, Maria, Luciana, Alicia, Mariel, Lidia, Liduvina, Victorina, Saturnina*, Norma*
