Chen's story

Chen S., 50, is widowed and resides with her four children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area known for Angkorian temples. S. sells rice for an income of 5 USD per day. Her son is a bartender at a hotel in the town, earning an income of about 4 USD per day to help cover the family expenses. S. is requesting a loan of 1,200 USD to purchase a motorbike for her son to ride to work. In the future, she would like to use any leftover money to repair her house.
