A loan helped to plant blackberry seedlings and watermelon to expand farm capacities.

Tudor's story

Tudor is thankful to Kiva lenders for the previous loan that they helped him obtain. With the Kiva loan, Tutor was able to procure film and install the irrigation system in his greenhouse. Because of this, he was able to sell his products sooner and at a higher price.

Tudor continues to work within agriculture. This year, he wants to expand his business by planting blackberry seedlings. Blackberries are both a healthy and a profitable fruit. Tudor hopes to make investments in the spring so that autumn can reap sweet fruits.

Now, Tudor is requesting a new loan from Kiva sources to plant the 0.6 ha with blackberry seedlings and 3 ha with watermelon. Tudor hopes for a successful agricultural season that will result in great watermelon and blackberry fruit. As a result, Tudor will be able to ensure consumers with organic products and will have the opportunity to earn a better income to support his family.
