Victor is divorced. He lives in Novomoskovsk. He is a market entrepreneur selling men’s outerwear, such as t-shirts and shirts, in the central marketplace of his hometown. Victor’s vending kiosk is located in a good spot, drawing many potential customers to his business. Victor has invested 45,000 Grivnyas in this business. He is making about 10,000 Grivnyas in income.
Victor is requesting a loan of 14,000 Grivnyas to purchase additional seasonal merchandise. He usually travels to Odessa, southern Ukraine, to buy assorted inventory from wholesalers there. Victor launched this venture two years ago. He admits he is still in the process of learning some of the nuances of his trade. Victor’s sick father lives with him and is incapable of getting a job. Victor’s enterprise is the only source of income for the two of them.
