A loan helped a member to buy a tricycle and open new sales routes and the other part to buy corn, beans and milk for the products she sells.

Amor Y Fe Group's story

These are the members of the Amor y Fe group, a communal bank created by Pro Mujer in León, Nicaragua. It's members sell clothing, steel jewellery, fruit, tortillas and dairy products.

Maria Veronica (seated at the front of the group) is 45 years old. For nine years she has been making a living making and selling tortillas and beans. She lives with her partner and her three children who sell dairy products itinerantly. Her daughters go to university.

Her dream is to complete building her house and have a larger business. She needs a loan to buy a tricycle and open new sales routes and the other part to buy corn, beans and milk for the products she sells. Maria Veronica thinks that this year 2021 will be a good year. She is thinking of expanding the stove where she makes the tortillas and hire workers.

She loves her business as she knows that with perseverance and hard work she can get ahead.

Give her an economic boost so she can prosper!
