A loan helped to purchase sugar, soap, cooking oil and cocoa for reselling.

James's story

James is a retailer based in Bundibugyo, Uganda. In his retail shop, James sells sugar, soap and cooking oil. As is the case with many retail shops in the area, he sells domestic items. In addition to his shop, James is also a farmer. Together with his wife, he is majorly involved in cocoa which he cultivates himself and also buys from other farmers for reselling at better prices. Actually, in James’s area, cocoa is a treasured crop ("cash crop") for income generation.

This is James’s fourth loan and he is going to use the funds to purchase cocoa from other farmers for reselling and also sugar, soap and cooking oil for his retail shop.
