Kuña Guapa Group's story

The "Comité de Mujeres Kuña Guapa" was started in August, 2008 in the zone of Trinidad, a community economically unfavored with no important commercial sector, and therefore the majority of the inhabitants is involved in the informal sector of the economy. The ladies comment on being satisfied with the loan and want to continue participating. One of the members is Mrs. Francisca who has a bar where she sells beverages and food in general. She comments that all the ladies of the group are very happy working with the group. In facilities she owns in front of her house she places the products for her customers. Her children help with the business. She wishes to continue to work as the income helps with the expenses to feed the family. She requests the loan to buy beverages such as soft drinks, beer, wine and others as well as to buy products for domestic use.
