A loan of $450 helped buy blouses, pants, shirts, and sheets.

Fabiola Magdalena's story

Fabiola is part of the Corazones Felices (Happy Hearts) Communal Bank in the city of Portoviejo. She is 32, married, and has three daughters. Her husband works putting down ceramic tile, but he does the work only when requested. It is not steady work.

Our member works doing a little of everything from cooking to selling clothes, sheets, and athletic shoes. She knows very well how to allot her time. She works by traveling to different places. She says that she has always worked in this, and she likes commerce a lot.

She has had two cycles with the Fundación Espoir. The loans have been a great help in paying the household expenses.
With this loan our member will be able to buy sheets and clothing. She makes her purchases in Quito and sometimes in Guayaquil. She has always traveled and worked alone.

Our member’s circumstances have not been easy because she has to leave her little daughter in her mother’s house to be able to leave to sell. She, like the other members, has many dreams. One of them is to rightly help her mother economically and to continue having her sales grow.
