Fatima Del Consuelo's story

Fátima, like many hard-working women, is dedicated to her home and to her business. She lives in the city of Reales Tamarindos, also known as Portoviejo, the capital of the Manabí province.

She sells shoes and purses, going out to visit customers in person, and has been in the business for 7 years. She is married, has a 21-year old daughter, and lives in her own house. Working in partnership with Fundación has gone very well for her. She purchases her merchandise in Guayaquil, which she also sells in her boutique. Fátima has a good customer base, gets help from a cousin, and procures the merchandise requested by her customers.

Her husband works for the Province Council and her daughter is studying medicine at the university. They are conscious that everything they do is for the benefit of their daughter. They love her, and would do everything necessary for her, as the career she has chosen generates a great deal of expenses.

Fátima’s dream is to see her daughter become fulfilled in every aspect. For that reason, she doesn’t mind any sacrifices she may have to make to realize this goal.
