A loan of $475 helped working capital.

Melania's story

Melania is a single mother, and she has three children who study. She sells and butchers pork. This business was started four years ago, and in addition every Friday she makes nacatamales [large Nicaraguan tamales] in her home and sells them to the general public. She is requesting this loan with the goal of buying pork, since there is currently a great demand for this product. She also delivers meat to the local grocery stores, normally offered on credit which she collects in the week. Her dream is to expand her business and to improve her economic situation, which will in turn allow her to improve the economic situation of her children.
